Treat the input supply as professional equipment

Miller lists 208–575V single-phase input. Confirm the exact supply, conductor, protection and grounding with a licensed electrician before connecting the machine.

Do not use a household adapter or improvised extension. The potential output is not a reason to bypass the installation requirements.

Plan lifting and accessory changes

The machine weighs about 84 pounds. Use a stable cart or proper lifting plan, and keep the work area and cable path clear. Disconnect power before changing the gun, drive rolls or process accessories.

Pulsed MIG, stick and DC TIG require different torches, consumables and gas setups. Verify the installed configuration before striking an arc.

Protect the breathing zone

Use local exhaust near the plume and general ventilation appropriate to the space. The risk changes with the material, coating, filler and process.

Keep other people away from the arc and fume. Stop if anyone develops symptoms and seek fresh air and medical advice when needed.
