Verify the selected input voltage

Lincoln lists 20–140A output on 120V and 20–211A on 230V. Select the correct input configuration and check the manual's breaker and grounding instructions before welding.

The included 230V-to-120V adapter is not a substitute for circuit verification. Have a licensed electrician verify the panel and install any new circuit.

Check gas and spool-gun readiness

The regulator, gas hose, gun and sample wire are included; shielding gas and PPE are not. Secure the gas cylinder and inspect the hose and regulator before opening the valve.

The spool-gun switch and wiring do not make aluminum MIG complete. Confirm the exact spool gun, wire and gas before switching process.

Set up a controlled work area

Use EZ setup with the exact selected process and wire, then inspect the first test bead before starting the project. Keep the work lead on clean metal and route cables away from heat and sharp edges.

Open the garage and use local exhaust. Keep sparks away from fuel, solvents, paper and other combustibles, and stop if the machine or circuit behaves abnormally.
