Plan around the cable path

Measure the area beside or under the MIG-205DS Pro. Keep the torch, ground lead and gas hose out of the wheel path. A shallow tray with two side walls is enough for tips, pliers and a small wire spool.

Choose scrap thickness that fits the selected process. Confirm the machine settings, polarity and consumables before cutting final pieces.

Tack, check and complete the frame

Cut two matching side frames, clamp them flat and check diagonals before welding. Tack opposite corners and alternate sides to limit pulling. Add a light bottom plate or expanded-metal tray only after the frame sits flat.

Fit casters with a load rating above the intended contents. A tray is not a step, seat or lifting device.

Finish and test it empty

Remove sharp edges, clean the welds and check the wheel clearance. Test the tray empty, then add a small load and roll it across a threshold.

Open the garage and use local exhaust while welding. Keep the finished tray away from the gas-cylinder securing path.
